On February 13th a cherished Inverness elementary teacher, Vikki MacEachern, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Her surgery will be Thursday, February 18th, at the QEII in Halifax.
She is known as Miss Vikki to the thousands of children who adore her and she in return treats each child in her special way going that extra mile to make them feel so welcome in the new environment.
There is also a Call for Prayer.
If you know Vikki MacEachern you know that she is all things good.
She has consistently reached out to others to lift them up, encourage them, and she displays genuine concern for all no matter big or small.
She has given each one of us her time in a way that makes you feel like you are the only person in the world that matters.
She is the best of us all.
She is who we should all strive to be more like.
She is an icon.
With Vikki’s permission, we share with you that she has recently received the disheartening news of a glioblastoma brain tumor and a surgery to remove it is planned for Thursday, February 18th.
It is now our turn to reach out to Vikki.
She needs our prayers.
Prayers for Vikki will be held at Stella Maris Catholic Church in Inverness on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
On Thursday, the day of Vikki’s surgery, prayers will begin at 8:00 a.m. and go until midnight.
Please join us in prayer for Vikki at a time that is convenient to you. If you have only five minutes or all day, we would appreciate you stopping by the church to pray.
Rosaries will be ongoing during these times.
You are welcome to join in or say your own prayers.
What matters is that we come together for Vikki.
We ask that as you pray you picture Vikki safe if Jesus’ arms healing her. “For nothing will be impossible with God.” ~ Luke 1:37
We want as many people praying for Vikki on Thursday as possible. Vikki is going to have a road to recovery that will, in part, involve treatment, travel, hotels, meals, etc.
Please share the Go Fund ME page to ensure that we can somehow help take a bit of the burden away, The preference (and in Vik and Glenn’s style) would be an enormous concert as music is such an enormous part of their lives but with current regulations that is just not possible right now. Please help build this fund for her and her loving and supportive husband. We know in our hearts their journey will be successful, but we also know it will be a long road ahead.
Vik has already touched the lives of thousands.
The support she and her family have received is nothing short of incredible.
Please pray every single day for her to beat this tumor, pray for her husband and two children (Emily and Luke) to have the strength to help her fight.
Pray for the doctors and the nurses that are caring for her and her family both physically and mentally.
Vikki is a fighter! If anyone can do this, it is without a doubt, Miss Vikki.
A donation to a food bank, hospital, or school in Vikki’s name would be wonderful as well.
Thank you for all of your kindness and support. (From the Go Fund Me Page)
